Business Manager

Richard brings 37 years’ leadership experience in the learning disability and social care sector. Most recently as Operations Director for Personal Support Services England at a major UK charity, he led regional and national teams and managed a multi-million-pound budget while driving improvements in governance, finance and service delivery.

Richard holds an MBA in Strategic Leadership from the University of Portsmouth. He uses a practical, evidence-led approach to strengthen performance, improve operational grip, and support sustainable growth. He is skilled in streamlining operations, developing business systems and strengthening compliance frameworks. Richard has a track record of working with large, service-based organisations and embedding person-centred, values-driven cultures. He joins DGF Psychology ready to help shape growth, sharpen financial visibility and support a high-quality, responsive service.

Away from work, Richard is a family man who enjoys spending time with his wife Estelle, their children, and two young grandchildren. He’s an active runner and club secretary for his local running club, and he loves long countryside walks with Estelle and their Dogue de Bordeaux, Tessa.
